Presentation and Interaction Classroom

Originally opened in 2009, this completely renovated facility was designed to create an environment that enhances student career development, improves communication and presentation skills, and enriches faculty research projects.

The classroom features a 16-foot white board and ceiling mount projector and display screen, audio/visual console with on-board computer, and connectivity for an external laptop or external audio/visual devices. Seating for 30 students can be arranged in typical lecture-style or reconfigured into five smaller pods for group interactions. A tripod- mounted camera is available to record presentations or class sessions. Hearing assist devices are also available upon request.

There are five private breakout meeting rooms connected to the main classroom, each containing a meeting table, seating for 6 students, and a 6-foot white board. Each breakout room features a wall-mounted digital video recorder (DVR) that allows for convenient recording and immediate playback of group sessions. Recorded sessions can also be burned to DVD allowing students to have their own copy for later review.

Several Management and Labour Relations courses are conducted in this classroom, including: Collective Bargaining, International Management, and Research Methods. This professional state-of-the-art facility represents our continuing effort towards enhancing the Odette Experience.
